The Czech Centre was founded by 7 of Brno resident Suzuki fans and 2 of English members of SOC at the meeting held in restaurant U Nedbalku in Ostrovacice near Brno in July of 1984. The idea to start our own centre was  connected to the celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the FIM foundation and Int. Motorcyclists Rally held in Pacov just a few days before.

The Czech Centre is one of about 20 centres of the British one-make motorcycle club - the Suzuki Owners Club, which joins over 3.000 members at the present.

Two of SOC centres are outside of GB, in California USA and in Czech Republic.

The Czech Centre's annual rally held each year at the end of May is named “Invader Rally” just like British centre's annual rally, according good and long lasting tradition. Chudcice-village (near Brno dam lake) is the traditional facility of this annual rally since 1989.

Groups of Czech members living in different regions of Czech Republic organise 1 or 2 more events named "club weekend" for their centre colleagues and friends through the season, volunteering their spare time and often also the money for petrol.

Kevin Schwantz was an honorary member of Czech Centre through the years 1989 - 94, when he met Czech Centre members at hotel Krystal in Rosice near Brno after 1989 Czech GP Friday-practice. Then Kevin won the Sunday-race having his RGV's decorated by SOC-stickers just like his Suzuki Pepsi Team No.2 - Ron Haslam.

There is one more Czech Centre's honorary member, he is Ivo Kastan who has succeeded with his DR350 at Paris - Dakar Rally in 1996 and 1997. His friendly access and chats with centre members are ever the highlight of Czech Centre annual rallies.

The friendly atmosphere of centre's events is so valuable and appreciated by Czech Centre members, that to keep it also for future is only reason the number of centre members is limited. The new candidates, mostly brought by members, can come newcomers of centre only after their third turnout at centre's annual rally and start to be proper registered member of the SOC.
